It’s such an exciting time for Kilkenny’s food scene.  Helen Carroll from RTE’s ‘Ear to the Ground’ controversialy remarked at the launch of ‘#Taste Kilkenny’ this morning that it may soon rival Hurling! Watch this space…

#TasteKilkenny is a new initiative launched today that showcases everything that the burgeoning Kilkenny foodie scene has to offer. We are so proud to be included in the intiative offering visitors a taste of the region through memorable food experiences.

Here at Anocht all of our menus reflect a wonderful choice of excellent beef, chicken, vegetables, herbs, oils and cheeses sourced locally. We consume over 11,000 litres of local milk and 3,500 litres of cream annually. We always try to offer our customers unique dishes that showcase the passion and skill of our local producers. Go behind the scenes with Executive Chef Rory Nolan to get a glimpse in how using the finest local produce inspires all our menus – including our fish from John at Fishman’s market shown in the video above. Come try our latest seasonal offernings including Spring Kilkenny lamb with purple sprouting broccoli from Riversfield farm and our Irish Cheeseboard with Knockdrinna lavistown , Young Buck blue and Cooleney Ruby Irish Ale cheeses.
